What is a Herd Share?
In Tennessee, state law requires that raw milk for human consumption be obtained through a herd share. That means instead of simply purchasing milk from Trinity Rose, you purchase a share in our dairy herd.
This isn’t a membership program we dreamed up — it’s the framework provided under Tennessee law for farms like ours to provide raw milk to their community.
Because your herd share represents actual ownership, joining also includes signing a simple herd-share agreement documenting your share in the herd.
Once that part is taken care of, it really is pretty simple: we care for and milk the cows, and you pick up your fresh milk each week.
